We have worked closely with colleagues, parents, and partners to refresh it.<\/p>\n<p>In March, we issued a\u00a0<span class=\"mark4qsrhl4ts\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">PIE<\/span>\u00a0survey to all establishments to gather views and insights from parents\/carers, which have helped shape the updated strategy. The revised\u00a0<b><span class=\"mark4qsrhl4ts\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">PIE<\/span>\u00a0Strategy 2025\u20132028<\/b>\u00a0outlines how we will meet our statutory duties, including:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Involving and meaningfully engaging parents in their child\u2019s education<\/li>\n<li>Providing advice and information to parents about their child<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the establishment and operation of Parent Councils<\/li>\n<li>Considering the needs of care-experienced children<\/li>\n<li>Promoting equal opportunities and inclusivity for all parents<\/li>\n<li>Establishing a complaints procedure aligned with the revised Complaints Handling Procedure (2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The strategy will be reviewed and monitored over the next three years to ensure effective implementation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/cl\/public\/abercrombyprimaryandnursery\/uploads\/sites\/3239\/2025\/10\/09152743\/Parental-Involvement-Engagement-Strategy-25-28.pdf\">Parental, Involvement &amp; Engagement Strategy 25-28<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every local authority is required to have a Parental Involvement and Engagement\u00a0 Strategy (PIE), in line with Section 2(1) of the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006.
