India

width=”150″ height=”150″ class=”alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-193″ />Our new topic at school is India. This week we have been learning about food and drink from India.

We have been learning about the Taj Mahal and places in India. We found out that the capital of India is New Delhi.

There is a city in India called Mumbai. India’s cricket team plays in Mumbai. India has no savannas.

We have been using books, maps, net books and researching different websites. Woodlands Junior and the BBC are really good.

We enjoy this topic. We want to find out about hobbies and entertainment in India.

Thanks for reading our blog.

Maths Outside
We went outside on Tuesday to play maths games with chalk it was fun. We had partners to help us. It was kind of hard because we had to do sums that were hard but they were fun when we knew how to do them. We needed a calculator to help us, my friend got one for me. It was fantastic.

Maths games
When we do maths games we learn new things. We think getting stuck is exciting .We use computers and sheets sometimes. We even make up our own maths games sometimes. Maths is sometimes hard and takes a while. We are now learning about fractions. We were talking about halves and we had to half shapes.

Fun Athletics the Final

On Wednesday the 20th of February P5 and P4/5 got together on a bus to Grangemouth for fun athletics it was the final. We went to
Grangemouth stadium but that was the wrong place then we waited for the bus. Finally we arrived. We practiced first. Then it was the girl’s obstacle race. The girls were third in this race. After that it was the boy’s race and we were first. There were lots of other events as well such as long jump, triple jump, vertical jump, standing long jump, standing triple jump and many more. When the scores were in we found out that we were last place, however it was lots of fun and we tried very hard. Tillicoultry Primary won the competition. After that we went on the bus and we listened to Gangnam Style and we got a Haribo each then we went back to school.
