If you eat healthy come and join the back street health gang, if your feeling bad try to be rad, if you feel good try to eat healthy food. On Sunday there was a boy called Cameron he was going to join the half marethon. Hey, my names

The Healthy Song

We have been doing a lesson on health. We had to make a rap/song or poem.It had to be about hygiene/food and drink/sleep/excercise and feelings. Our group did a song called The Healthy Song.It went like this.

” If you jog in the morning it will keep you healthy x2.
If you eat an apple every day it will keep that mean doctor away.
If you go to sleep early you will have lots of energy!
If you jog in the morning it will keep you healthy. You have to be happy or you’ll be snappy and you won’t be healthy! Ready or not here I come I’m gonna fight away those germs and if cough on your hands then wash them.”

We liked this lesson because it was fun.

Book Detectives

During class we have been learning about book detectives. We have learned five roles so far. They are Summariser, Character Specialist,Question Setter,Word Finder and Illustrator. In the Summariser role you have too memorise what had happened in the book.In the Character Specialist you have too write down a character profile. In the Question Setter you have to set questions on the book.In the Word Finder you have too look in a dictionary for the words you find tricky. In the Illustrator role you need too draw a picture of your favourite character in the book you are reading. Our favourite role is the illustrator role because we love too draw.

Food and Drink

We were working together in cooperative learning groups and we were learning about health. In our groups we were making up songs.  Even though some of the group members where not there at the time they came along and worked there socks off and when the song was finished we performed it and we got loads of feedback from pupils.  So let us write a bit of it.

Its called the FOOD AND DRINK song/rap .

“Food and drink exercise sleep all day and party all night. Spread your feelings around the world….happy exercise yeah.

If you don’t want to eat your veg jump in bed with a little red head. Keep fit wash your hands hygienes good for your body. We are the food the food the food and drink gang, word.”

It was fun performing the song and it was really good to hear people say nice things to us .

Thank you for reading.

Fractions

We have been learning about fractions, we will tell you some things we have learned so far:
1.The top half is called the numerator.
2.The bottom half is called the denominator.

Our teacher split us up into groups, our group was playing Pizza Fraction Bingo, but neither of us won! We had lots of fun I had a shot of being the bingo caller, I had to use the fraction spinner.

We have also been looking at our fraction wall in our classroom. Another game we have been playing is I have…who has…(That is a game.)

Good bye

Kai and Kaitlyn.

Red Nose day 2013

Hi I’m Cara from Pupil Council. A couple of weeks ago Pupil Council started to plan stuff for Red Nose Day. We had a Guess the Teddy Bear’s Birthday, Guess the sweets in the jar, Raffle and Red Noses for £1. We also had a crazy hair and pyjama day on Friday the 15th of March.

Altogether we raised just over £350! We were shocked and so happy. We hope the money we raised helps people in Africa and the United Kingdom.

India

We have been learning about the Taj Mahal and places in India. We found out that the capital of India is New Delhi.

There is a city in India called Mumbai. India’s cricket team plays in Mumbai. India has no savannas.

We have been using books, maps, net books and researching different websites. Woodlands Junior and the BBC are really good.

We enjoy this topic. We want to find out about hobbies and entertainment in India.

Maths Outside
We went outside on Tuesday to play maths games with chalk it was fun. We had partners to help us. It was kind of hard because we had to do sums that were hard but they were fun when we knew how to do them. We needed a calculator to help us, my friend got one for me. It was fantastic.

Maths games
When we do maths games we learn new things. We think getting stuck is exciting .We use computers and sheets sometimes. We even make up our own maths games sometimes. Maths is sometimes hard and takes a while. We are now learning about fractions. We were talking about halves and we had to half shapes.
