Halloween Fun in P4!

We had great fun on Friday because we were allowed to come to school dressed up in our Halloween costumes!  Everyone made such a great effort with their costumes and we all looked really spooky.

  Don’t we all look amazing?

We had a fun filled day in class, carving our pumpkin, writing spooky stories and poems and of course our Halloween party in the afternoon.  We got very messy catching our jammy donuts, searching for gooey body parts and ghosty marsmallows and of course we even got wet dooking for apples.  Have a look at our photos below.  Do you think we enjoyed ourselves?

Healthy Activities

Last Friday we had a fab time in the activity zone.  We were working on some healthy activities and games.

Mel liked the game about the food groups because he thought that the questions were easy and he nearly filled his group chart.  The food groups are, meat and fish, fruit and veg, sugars and fats, milk and dairy and cereals, bread, rice and pasta.

Chelsea’s favourite game was the pair game because she enjoyed searching for a yoghurt to match the one she had.

Euan enjoyed playing the game that was like Snakes and Ladders because instead of snakes there was slime and instead of ladders it was bubbles.  This game was all about germs and bacteria.

Have a look at our pictures below.

Cooperative Learning Groups

We have been very busy in P4 learning lots of interesting things and we have really enjoyed our theme work, especially when we get the opportunity to work cooperatively.   Meet our Cooperative Learning Groups….

We have worked on a lot of tasks in our groups but Euan’s favourite was when we used the netbooks to research the history of Clackmannan Tower and create a Tower Factfile.

We have also enjoyed working individually on our artwork.  Marcus liked making his chalk picture of Clackmannan Tower and Chelsea like drawing her self portrait for our Class Charter.

We haven’t only been working on our theme work though, we have also been learning some new skills in maths.  Ben liked completing maths work on Mystery Manor.  He was rounding the nearest 10 and 100, writing number names to 999 and completing addition and subtraction chimney sums.
