In school we were doing WOW posters all about the things that make us feel WOW.
We first started off going outside to do something called mindfulness, it’s when you are taking in all your surroundings without rushing. Then we created ourWOW posters. We thought of all of the things that made us feel WOW and put them on to our posters and that created our WOW posters.
Here are some examples of the things that make us feel WOW:
Art
Family
Pokémon
Animal kingdom
Drones
I-phone
My pets
Movies
Ryze
Nature
Surfing
School trips
Marvel
DC
Going on holiday
And here are some of our posters – they look WOW don’t they!
As most of you will know, Mr Flett sent home homework linking with dinosaurs, for your children.
We got to show the class what we did by giving Presentations. I did the T.Rex. They were all really good + well prepared. P7F would just like to thank the parents if they helped the child do this project + grandparents if they helped as well. Some people did a PowerPoint on their dinosaur and then printed them off and some of them were absoloutely amazing.
Have a look at some of our dinosaur project covers below!
We are all individuals with unique personalities. In P7F we’ve been looking at identity and learning how to represent elements of our identity through images and words. Have a look and see all the wonderful personalities in P7F!
What we did was:
We took a picture of the sides of our heads and copy them onto a piece of paper.
Then we filled them in with what makes us, us.
For example I like horses so I drew a horse on mine.
One maths session Mr. Flett told us about BODMAS. At first most people didn’t have a clue what it meant but when he explained it, it made a lot of sense. He told us that the letters of the words stand for the first thing in the sentence of maths.
B stands for brackets so even if the brackets are at the end or the middle of the maths sum, you still have to do them first.
Next is O which stands for orders. Orders are the little 2s and 3s at the top of the numbers. They are called squared and cubed. Next is D and M which are division and multiplication. Last but not least is A and S, addition and subtraction.
It is much easier if you can see it so here are some pictures photo online.
The great wave was created by Hokusai, Here is a picture of the first print of the great wave.
Here are some of our great waves
First we drew out what we saw on the sheet we were given then we used watercolours to paint the blue bits of the wave then we painted the sky and then we made a mixture of PVA glue and shaving foam and then we dabbed the mixture on and let it dry.
Hello and welcome to our P7 class blog. We will use this to keep parents, carers and grandparents informed about what we get up to in the classroom. We will also use it to give the pupils an authentic audience for their work! Please check back often and leave us a comment…. we love comments! We look forward to hearing from you!
