Last week we started doing a weather project on a country of our choice.

P7 and P1/2 have been put into groups to research a country of our choice. In each group there were at least two P7s and two P1/2s.

Since both the classes have similar projects for this term (Savage Earth and Weather) this would be the perfect opportunity for us to share our learning.

We first had to research our country’s culture and weather. The kind of things we had to research were:

• The weather in that country

(And any extreme temperatures and weather)

• Animals in that country that live there

(And how they adopt to it)

• How people live there

(What kind of houses? Clothing? Languages?)

Not only that we had to have good research and we also have to have good teamwork. We are aiming to get full marks on all of this.

Once we had finished our research we then had to put our information into a page per topic and put in pictures to make it exciting. During this we also had to teach our buddies to use Book Creator. Our buddies had so much fun!

When we had finished researching this we then can then choose if we want to do anything else about our country, for example:

• Religion
• Population
• Food and drink

Once we had finished our Book Creator project we can then show it to the whole two classes.

We all enjoy doing our Book Creator projects!

Each group chose a different country. For example there were countries like India, USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Australia and Brazil.
