Songs That Tell Stories<\/p>\n
Ballads are songs which tell a story. The North East of Scotland is a particularly rich source of traditional songs which go back hundreds of years and also Bothy Ballads which tell of the farming life. <\/p>\n
Using some ballads, the S2s were shown how a story is “paced” and were asked to summarise the plot of some famous songs associated with the North East.
\nThey needed a Start, Middle, End and a couple of other bulletpoints to develop the plot!<\/p>\n
