Scotland to eliminate Cardiff memory

Last time Scotland faced Wales they were beaten 51-3 after an early red card for Hogg. Greig Laidlaw said “last time we played we where on the wrong end of a thumping”

The recent match against France resulted in a 15-8 loss that Laidlaw said was “probably a chance missed” and a victory on Sunday against Wales is necessary to keep moral up for Vern Cotters squad.

“If we are to do anything in this tournament, we need to win this weekend” said Laidlaw “We need to learn for our mistakes from France and make it tough for the Welsh side,”

Only one change has been made to the Welsh squad. Following his recent concussion, winger George North won’t be on the pitch, with Liam Williams taking his place. They are very similar players so not much is expested to change in the way they play.

“We need to stop their go-forward and be aggressive at the breakdown and the tackle contest, make sure we are fronting up and not giving them easy gain-line”.

“If we do that, it take a big part of their game away”

JK Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’ to Film

JK Rowling is the renowned author of the famous Harry Potter series. Even though, the last book and film of the original series had been realised years ago, Rowling is still on the ball. Officially Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will not be the last film set in the Potter universe. It has been announced a while ago that a film adaption of one of Rowling’s books set in the same universe is in the progress.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a novella (short novel) set in the Potter universe and was published in 2001 to raise money for comedy relief. The book is based on a textbook used at Rowling’s fictional school of Hogwarts. The book is under the pen name of Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” mentioned a lot in the HP books. It has been confirmed that this will be in cinemas in the future.

David Heyman is set to be the producer and Rowling as screenwriter. Other parts of the production have been confirmed to, like Stuart Craig who worked in previous HP films alongside them two, will come back as production manager, and David Yates as director. It can be said that a lot of familiar production members from the Potter films are involved. Heyman says he’s ecstatic to start working on the film and that filming will start late summer this year. No cast has been confirmed to the public yet but casting has begun.

According to Rowling the movie will include new characters from Harry Potter, so the character Harry Potter will not be returning in this movie and that it will touch another side of the “wizarding world” of Harry Potter that fans haven’t seen before. She has also hinted that it will be based before the Harry Potter books in the 1920s but isn’t a prequel nor sequel to her previous works. The movie will focus around Newt Scamander and will begin in New York, she has also hinted that he’ll travel and change locations a lot.

The movie will be a trilogy and the first installment is due for release on November 18, 2016.

George North to be replaced by Liam Williams in Welsh rugby squad

North is not in the match-day squad and Scott Williams comes on to the bench.

Wales say the Northampton player has shown no concussion symptoms since his head knocks in the defeat by England

Yet because North was concussed in November, they are giving him “an extended recovery period ahead of the game against France”.

Liam Williams played in the 12-6 win over south Africa in November when North was missing after suffering concussion in the 34-16 defeat to new Zealand.

Scarlet’s center and captain Scott Williams could have his chance to shine in Edinburgh if he comes off the bench.

Russell makes debut in six nations against France

Finn Russell is getting ready to make his first six nations appearance against France this weekend. The 22 year old Glasgow warrior will make his fourth appearance for Scotland this weekend when he plays rugby at the Stade de France.

He said “it would have been great to start my six nation’s career at home but France will be amazing […] I’ve played a few games for Glasgow this season and got a wee taste but nothing this big,”

Scotland are looking to win the six nations this year as they have never won it before and are looking good in the lead up to the start of the tournament. The last time Scotland won at France was 1999 in the last five nations when Scotland won the trophy.

Finn Russell has played two games in France this season both for Glasgow warriors. He knows that they have to apply pressure early on against them but be careful not to overdo it as that happened to him when he was playing against Toulouse and he got yellow carded for a dangerous tackle. “One little thing like that can cost you a game” he added.

Russell is hopeful that they can beat France this year and win their first six nations.
