Our topic for the BBC school report is the Zihka virus which is a virus that affects new-born babies. There are six people in our group and we have interviewed three students who had a general amount of knowledge about the virus and we also got some teachers such as biology and geography teachers who knew a lot about the virus. We have learnt a lot about the virus doing this and really enjoyed doing it.

THE MIGHTY MIDGETS

Hello everybody, we are the mighty midgets and in the last few weeks we have been speaking to fellow members of the school including pupils and janitors. We asked them if they thought there was an issue with litter at The Gordon Schools and if so – their opinion on how we could help prevent it.

THE URBAN NINJA MONKEYS

We are Nick, Lee, Ben and Frankie which makes us the URBAN NINJA MONKEYS. Our BBC school news report was on Donald Trump. We went around the school asking teachers and pupils their opinions on Donald Trump, here are the questions we asked them.

  1. What is your opinion on Donald Trump?
  2. Donald Trump has made some interesting statements. What do you think about them
  3. Who do you think should get presidential rain?
  4. What do you think will be the biggest change if Donald Trump becomes president?

Overall we didn’t have many questions but the answers we got were really good and we all really enjoyed having this experience and it is sad that it is over.

TGS Win Rugby Tournament

Yesterday The Gordon Schools travelled to Aberdeen to compete in a rugby tournament against Westhill and Elgin. A solid team of .. boys travelled to the.. pitches and gave it their all.

TGS’S first match was against Westhill, the boys managed to pull of a great result ending in a 18-4 victory.

We asked Martin, a key player from yesterdays team how he thought the team and himself played in the first match, “I expected Westhill to be pretty hard because our squad is a union team and their  used to playing league. I think I played alright for not playing rugby league ever in my life and its fun but I think I could of done a little better.”

The team made it in to the final in which they played against Turriff,  it was a close game for the first half the score 4-4 but in the second half Turriff couldn’t contain TGS as they cruised to 32-4 win.

Coach A. Sutcliffe was very impressed with the teams performance throughout the day and said it was good team performance although he did mention Martin, Lewis, Roddy and Yanick as being stand out players.
