In class this week some of us have been practising our numbers to 20. We have not only counted forwards but backwards too! We are finding that a little trickier. Here are some of the videos/games we have been using to help us.

Use your alphabet cards to create as many words as you can using your sound(s) for the week, minimum of 4 for P2 and 6 for P3. Write these words in your homework jotter. Chose 4(P2) or 6 (P3) of these words and use them to complete one of the spelling tasks at the front of your jotter. Also complete this spelling task for your common words. Please remember to sign the front of the book to show which activity you have completed.
As part of active literacy, the idea is that children practise their sounds 3 or 4 times a week. Therefore I would ask that children do not return their homework jotters to school until Thursday.
Thank you
Our topic this term is Weather. In class we read the book “Cloudy with a chance of meatballs!” Why don’t you ask us what it is about?
We are watching the weather forecast and then keeping a chart to see if the weather forecast is correct or not.
We are even learning to say the weather in French!
In class we have enjoyed exercising to this video whilst helping us to learn our numbers.
Welcome to P2/3 class blog. This will keep you up to date with what has been happening in class and any usual links that you may like to access at home. Please feel free to comment on any of the posts as the pupils always enjoy reading what people have said.
Thank you
