As part of our Burn’s Day celebration on 25th January, the children in P1 have been asked to learn a Scottish poem ‘Wee Jaikie Peerie’.  We will listen to all the poems on Wednesday 18th in class.  Please help your child to prepare, encouraging using a clear voice and expression.  The winner of the poetry competition will have the opportunity to say the poem to the whole school during the Burns assembly. Sat on a cheerie
Howkin oot plooms fae a flan.
He lickit his fingers,
An said ‘They’re humdingers-
Fit a smairt little birkie I am!’
