The resources and activities on this page are recommended for children learning in P5, P6 and P7.

The curriculum for these children is planned using the second level experiences and outcomes.

Countdown is a great way to practise and challenge your brain with all four operations of maths (+-/x). Although there is an online game version, P7/6 enjoy playing along with an episode of Countdown. This is on every day at 2.15 on channel 4 or you can get it on catch up/ Channel 4 On Demand. Miss Deans normally pauses each round to give learners longer than one minute.

Resources to support 5 minutes a day of mental maths. Designed for upper primary pupils, the activities are sorted into bronze, silver and gold.

This website is a great for All aspects of numeracy however Carol Vorderman has a great Times table check resource. Click the link below to learn, practise and consolidate your knowledge of times tables.

Again  NRICH  has a vast amount of resources for all areas of math. To access this website, click topics at the top of the primary page then you can focus on specific math areas. NRICH is great because it is not just interactive games – most are problem solving questions which means you can do this on paper or in your journal.

Topmarks is again a multi- purpose website covering all aspects of maths. It has particularly good challenging games in its data handling area – especially for second level.
