Join Robert and Carole in the Learning Plaza to check out Enginuity’s newest product, Enspire City. Launching in October 2023 our free to use web product gives 8–14-year-old students information about inspirational careers, education pathways and work sectors that may help them to choose a career.  It features a futuristic city where engineers work to solve green problems and develop future facing designs and manufacturing activities.  Students will find Engineering and Manufacturing based activities focussed on Aerospace, Automotive, Space and Vertical Farming sectors as well as an additional area showing information about how to become an Engineer.  We’ve joined up with employers, educators, and skills experts and pulled everything together into a one-stop shop. Students can explore different industries, the innovations shaping them, the engineers who work there, and the varied pathways to exciting and rewarding career opportunities. There’s plenty of fun along the way to keep them interested with hidden characters to find, some dad inspired jokes, and fun fact cards to keep the tone light and to encourage them to keep exploring.

Robert Bruce – Development Specialist

Robert is currently a Development Specialist with Enginuity (Formerly Semta) the Sector Skills Council for Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, a UK employer led skills organisation. Having spent more than 30 years in Education and Skills his previous roles include 19 years with City & Guilds leading both quality assurance and business development working with a wide range of Scotland and UK based Education and Skills Stakeholders. Robert is currently a member of the ESLG, (Engineering Skills Leadership Group) ADS Scotland Skills strategy group, a former Scotland National Training Awards judge and has previously been the chair of the Scottish FAB (Federation of Awarding Bodies) group and is a fellow of the RSA.
