Lee Platt: Senior IT Customer Support Analyst
My role is a Senior IT Customer Support Analyst within the Council’s Customer & Digital Services team. I joined Aberdeenshire council in early 2014 as an IT support analyst based at Inverurie Academy, I moved into the Senior Support analyst role in 2019. Prior to joining Aberdeenshire Council, I worked in IT support roles with Wood Group and the NHS.
Part of my role includes the management and administration of the IT chat bot service, it’s exciting to see the developments in artificial intelligence and how this can have a positive impact in the workplace.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids (11 & 8). I am a keen road & trail runner; I can often be found on the Bennachie trails on a Saturday morning. I also enjoy road cycling and open water swimming when time allows.
Marie-Ann McLeod: Senior IT Customer Support Analyst
My current role is Senior IT Customer Support Analyst based with the Customer & Digital Services Team. I have experience of IT since I graduated from university in 2006. I joined Aberdeenshire Council in 2010 (eeek 13 years ago), with a slight break to work in the private sector for a ‘Managed Services IT company’, shortly returning to the Shire in 2014. My role entails managing our hard-working team of IT customer support analysts to ensure Aberdeenshire Council staff have adequate working technology. This includes supporting Teachers and Pupils within School establishments, where our link with the Love Learning Team exists.
I’m a mum of 2 young boys (3 and 6) and closely tied I’m also part of a Parent/Teacher committee. I find it useful to see future thoughts on School technology from different viewpoints. Having seen how technology has changed and improved over the years, it’s very interesting to see how its applied within School settings.
On a personal level, I’m a member of The Lyric Musical Society, partaking in Theatre shows once year. You might have spotted me in some of our recent shows ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ or ‘Kinky Boots’ at Aberdeen’s His Majesty’s Theatre. Don’t worry though I’ll try limit my jazz hands on the day of the in-service event! 🙂
Robert Fletcher: IT Customer Support Analyst
I am an IT Customer Support Analyst within the Customer and Digital Services team.
My interest in IT started when I was about 14, I was given a box of electronic components and a pile of 1.44MB floppy disks and I was told that I should be able to build a PC with the contents.
I have been working in IT for longer that I would like to admit, the last 8 years of which has been for the council.
I enjoy spending time with my Wife and my not so little boys. I enjoy DIY, gardening, and walking. I am a rather passionate motorcycle racing fan MotoGP, BSB and World SBK.
Callum Bell: IT Analyst
I am an IT Analyst in the Customer Support Team within Customer & Digital Services. I have been interested in technology for as long as I can remember, I initially wanted to do web design so once I finished school I went to college and got an HND in Digital Design & Web Development. But after finishing college I decided to go in a different direction and I joined Aberdeenshire Council as an apprentice in the Customer Support Team in 2021. Since then, I’ve completed my apprenticeship and I now have a permanent role in IT as an IT Analyst.
