Last week we enjoyed a great school trip to local fruit farm Barra Berries. We toured the poly-tunnels and learned how the different varieties of fruit are grown. We can’t wait to get growing in our school garden!

Last week we had M.A.D groups. The red house were planting some potatoes.
We were doing fractions in maths. The P4s were ordering fractions.
Some of the P7s were adding and subtracting fractions.
One of our other M.A.D groups were making short videos using Puppet Pals 2.
Welcome to Megan Jaffray
In our ICT M.A.D (Making a Difference) group today we interviewed former pupil Megan Jaffray who has joined us at Logie Durno for a week of work experience. We used this as an introduction to writing a blog post.
The children wrote their own questions to ask her.

Probably getting to know all of you, because you’re all so nice.
What’s your favourite food? (Brodie)
Fajitas
What is your most memorable moment from your time as a pupil at Logie Durno? (Cara)
I think the time it was a really sunny day and none of us wanted to go inside for the afternoon and Mr. Calder had to come and tell us to get inside (but we got to go outside later in the day anyway).
What’s been your favourite day at Logie Durno while you’ve been here on work experience? (Gracie-Mai)?
My first day because everything was new.
What do you like about Meldrum Academy? (Tyler)
Getting to meet a lot of new people?
What is your favourite Disney film? (Innes)
The Lion King
What is your favourite subject at Academy? (Daisy)
Probably art because we get to be creative and have a bit of fun.
What is your favourite colour? (Olivia Mitchell-Moore)
Purple.
