The whole of Gordon Primary walked from school to Battlehill and around the hill for the third year running on Friday 6th May.
Primary 7SC led the way. The school stopped for a rest and snack at the shelter in the woods, before continuing on their walk. While there they had a chance to look at some of the young trees they had planted two years previously which are now growing healthily into young saplings and were just coming into leaf.
Staff and pupils agreed that it was good to do a whole school activity together.
Gordon Primary School supported the British Heart Foundation by dressing in red on Thursday 9th Feb.
Pupils and staff took the opportunity to wear their bright clothes, and contributed towards a collection in aid of BHF. A marvellous total of £448 was collected!
The nursery have been learning about bonfire night and how to be safe. They were giving us tips on how to stay safe. For example: only adults should let off fireworks.
Amy says ” You need to use a torch.”
Ella then said ” Because it’s very dark.”
On the 3rd of November a dentist from child smile came to talk to them about brushing their teeth. They gave us lots of advice on brushing our teeth.
Their next topic is about boxes and they would love it if some people brought some in for them.
