2015’s new prefects

We spoke to some of the new prefects to find out how they are feeling.

Maddy says : I really enjoy being a prefect, I love helping the younger ones and the school.

Sophie says : I love being a prefect and it lives up to my expectations .

The new prefects applied at the end of p6 and got picked at the start of p7 . They found out that everyone got chosen !

Prefects can be recognised by their badge, a prefect does lots of jobs such as helping in the p1 area, letting kids go in the lunch hall and etc.

I think this year the prefects will be as successful as last year and the younger stages will be happy with their service.

Gordon Primary Cricket Tournamernt

This year at the Huntly Cricket Pitch eight Aberdeenshire schools competed in a cricket tournament. The schools that competed were Huntly, Drumblade, Clatt, Cairnie, Premney, Forgue, Portsoy but sadly Rhynie couldn’t make it. Each team played  at least three games, each being played within five circles that fitted two teams with thirty minute breaks in between. Huntly got to the finals but lost to Drumblade by four runs. It was a great match and certainly a close one. It was a lovely day and everyone had lots of fun.“
