This week we did collaborative artwork. In collaborative artwork every one gets a square of dark and light and you paint dark on dark and light on  light and when it dries you do pen patterns on top and when everyone’s is done you put it together and figure out who it is. This time it was Salvador Dali, a famous artist.

We also did poems called Neverbelieve

In the land of Neverbelieve, I found a crown as gold and bright as sunlight which , if put on my head would make me queen forever etc etc etc

We also did a thing called a padlet where we posted stuff about feelings and other people in the class could comment and like. My first one got 14 likes which is everyone except Ms Cramond! My second one got 7 likes.

My Learning – Matthew

This week, I learned many things such as Technology, where I learned how to use a blog and open it easily, learned how to store all my work safely into OneDrive and messed around with a Padlet.

We also did P.E (Physical Education) which we learned hockey and handball, so that was fun too.

In art, we had to paint a mystery person with colors and patterns.

I also wrote a poem and a description of a guy called Jim.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I found a glistening rock which shined brighter than a star, that was smaller than a pebble but had bigger possibilities than the galaxy.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I heard an ear-deafening screech from the deepest cave, as loud as a rocket and as dangerous as a god.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I captured a creepy cactus in the crater, its prickles were as sharp as the tip of a glacier.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I saw a deadly dragon roaming around its nest, I chose not to disturb it otherwise I may not make it back.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I discovered a new species related to sheep, its hair was soft and fluffy whilst its head was scraped and tough.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I watched a baby giant grow big and strong, I am not sure if it has seen me, but I am sure I will be fine.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I stumbled into a charcoal-black cave, there was a glint of light at the end of the tunnel which led to the middle of an abandoned forest.

In the land of Neverbelieve,

I sang the song of angels and gods, all the animals ran up as if I were their leader.

Have you ever heard of Jim? I didn’t think so. Jim is a hard-working police officer who travels around the world in search of someone who needs assistance. He loves what he does, and it has always been his passion as a kid to become what he is today. He has a wife and four loving children, who he loves to pieces. Jim also has some companions that enjoy travelling with him, such as Barley. Barley is one of Jim’s best friends but since he is a dog, he can’t speak to him in human language. His children – who are Abagail, Molly, Katy and Harold – love sitting and watching family movies all together. They also enjoy other things such as playing tag in the sun, watching the sunset fall out of view and most of all, they love each other. But whilst the girls are playing together, Harold likes to play with his Lego train set or if he is feeling like he wants to change it up, he might use his space toys. Jim loves coming home in the late afternoon to see his children, they mean the world to him. Jim also loves watching them play outside in the rain together. Jim and his wife – Rebecca – have a very good relationship. They met on a cruise on their way to France for a visit, and once they arrived, they decided to sit together and eat a dinner at a fancy restaurant nearby the peer. Jim and his family live inside of a large flat near the ocean and every night, they love listening to the waves crashing against the beach shore.)

I also made a post about Macmillan. Macmillan Cancer Support

The whole class did collaborative art, Salvador Dali, first we painted four by five square then did little patterns with pen.

This is a poem I did called Neverbelieve

NEVERBELIEVE

In the land of Neverbeliveve, I watched the autumn leaves dance as they fall from the old magical tree.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I touched the slowly, swarming sky-gliders surrounding me.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I painted the vast open heather covered landscape.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I saw horses galloping as fast as you say bolt.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I imagined lambs springing along with their kind caring mums following them.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I felt the memory of my old dog like yesterday

this is a start of A poem I did

these are start of the our poems were going to. makeI sit snuggled in my bed overthinking about tomorrow. My anxiety kicks in I feel a tear trickle down my panicking face. I go in to my own world all thoughts and sounds descend into darkness.

My learning – Sebastian

This week I learnt to how to use dashes and hyphens in sentences.

This week people from Ballater came to talk about Patrick Geddes and to tell us who were the birthday card winners. They were Murron, Blair, Rosie , Mathew , Elise and Lorne.

I also wrote a poem:

Neverbelieve

In the land of Neverbelieve, I found a book that’s as old as a thousand galaxies, and if you touch it, you will be cursed with living for ever.

In the land of Neverbelieve , I saw a beautiful flying creature that da nces in the sunlight, and whatever it looked at it will turn to stone.

.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I watched the water dance down the cold stream that sparkled in the moon light.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I tip-toe up the stairs in the goblin’s house, creaking with every step.

In the land Neverbelieve , I captured a fiery lizard like the sun, when you touch it you turn to ash.

For art we did some collaborative art and we made Salvador Dali.

In maths I did my times tables like 74 X 24 =

Last Friday was Macmillan and I wrote that.

In the land of Neverbelieve

In the land of Neverbelieve, I saw the scales of silver sliti felt like my loneliness was about come out of me – just sitting there, all alone.hering snakes.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I caught the rarest rainbow fish.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I painted an aqua blue stripe through the majestic night sky.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I found a scarlet leaf that would grant my most unimaginable wishes.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I flew with magical unicorns past the extraordinary morning sunrise.

This was my poem that I had to use alliteration, good adjectives and similes.

This week I was doing a painting of Salvador Dali and after the paint dried I used pen to put patterns on it.  On all of the dark bits we used dark colours and for the light colours we used light paint.

My favourite bit of it is his moustache.

My learning – Zara

Thursdays’ writing was all about emotions.

We’ve now finished our collaborative art.

I’ve also been learning to write a poem.

Neverbelieve

In the land of Neverbelieve, I found a ripped-leather, mud-cloaked book,

that will flick to a random page to read when opened.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I tip-toed across the glistening, icy blue skate-rink,

loving each step of the way.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I heard the chirp of birds on a frosty morning,

especially the two robins that sit outside my window.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I felt the swift breeze of the midnight sky glittering like a diamond, brush against my cheek.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I captured a slight glimpse of a wise, fire burnt phoenix, going on a hunt for food.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I traced the tip of my finger across the ancient bark, showing me its past.

My Learning – Sarah

This week I wrote a poem

Neverbelieve

In the land of Neverbelieve, I found an ancient old locket embroidered with emeralds and diamonds, that could teleport me with a single click.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I watched the fire-breathers dance and play in the massive caves.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I saw a singing phoenix, the song could hypnotize anyone who heard it.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I watched the wind dance and sing, it could have swiped someone away.

In the land of Neverbelieve, I felt a silver, slippery, snake slither past my feet.

Jim

Ever heard of Jim? He lives in a small old house on the top of the snowy hill with his old Boarhound Rocket. Sadly, his father died when he was very young, and his mother ran away so he learnt how to care for himself. He wears a long-ragged top and very big jeans. He works in an old bar at the bottom of the village he lives in. Jim is very polite and always thinks about other people before himself. He loves books and in his spare time he would go and lie on his lumpy bed and read for hours and hours. Annoyingly, for him his birthday is on the 29th of February, so he only has one birthday every four years! Jim loves nature so if he’s not working or reading books, he will be outside.

I also wrote a description about Jim.

We wrote sentences about feelings.
