Display pictures of different homes, architecture, families, food, animals, countryside etc from around the world.

L1 display
Make use of notices and posters in different languages. Most children will not yet be reading and writing in their first language but it is still helpful for them to see displays and resources with their first language alongside English. This gives their first language status and shows that it is valued, and also brings something familiar into the learning environment. Parents or older siblings may be keen to help with this.
Music and rhyme
Celebrate music, songs and nursery rhymes from home culture in different languages and translated into English. Some examples:
