Imagine they are for someone who has never seen a snowman before \u2013 include lots of detail.\u00a0 Try to use a different opener for each line.\u00a0 For example:<\/p>\n<p>1. First\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>2. Next\u2026<\/p>\n<p>3. After that\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Numeracy<\/p>\n<p>Symmetrical snowflakes \u2013 can you draw a picture of a snowflake which has one or more lines of symmetry.\u00a0 Perhaps you could carefully cut one out of paper and draw the lines of symmetry onto it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Click the link to go to Hit The Button to practice your maths skills.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/maths-games\/hit-the-button\">https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/maths-games\/hit-the-button<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Science<\/p>\n<p>How much snow investigation<\/p>\n<p>You will need:<\/p>\n<p>2 containers that are the same, e.g. large yoghurt pots or butter tubs<\/p>\n<p>snow<\/p>\n<p>water<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fill one tub to the top with snow.<\/p>\n<p>Fill the other tub with water.<\/p>\n<p>Leave your tubs in a warm place until the snow melts.<\/p>\n<p>What do you notice?<\/p>\n<p>Try packing the snow into the tub by pressing it down. Weigh the tubs.
