In Ballater on Sunday the 2nd of June 2018, Ballater held the annual Duck Festival. There was a lot of stalls and stands selling clothes, food, entertainment like a ukulele band from  Braemar also the Ballater school choir and fun things for kids to do. The school choir had to sing on a truck stage, they sung Let It Be, Marie’s Wedding, I’m On My Way and The Flood. After the choir there was a mad  rush down to the river because the big duck race was going to begin. As a result  the Alexandra Hotel duck Alex  won the duck race. On Thursday and Friday p6/7 did different experiments. Some of them were with static energy and magnetic energy. My favourite activities were bending water, magnet jumping and having balloons sticking to me! On Friday we made ramps using books and wood. Next we rolled a tennis ball down the ramp and measured how far it went.  Then we made it roll further than before. Then we tried with a ping pong ball and a golf ball. We discovered that because the golf ball was heavier it rolled further.by Kate

At Belwade farm there are lots of lovely horse you can see . The horse at the farm are big and small they are well looked after they well. If you would like more information click here.

Hopscotch is a traveling  theatre group that came to Ballater  school. Their play was about the Rights of the child and why they are  important.  One of  the  characters is Ryan who thought if he had no rights he would think it would be great but he was wrong. He had to work in a shoe factory and got a cut finger.He got £1.50 and the paid  bandage witch is £1.50 so he got no money at the end of the day. The he got his rights back and told his friend how important the rights are.

My opinion is that it was very good and I am happy children in this country have rights and don’t work. By Kate
