{"id":628,"date":"2018-07-14T17:57:30","date_gmt":"2018-07-14T17:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/an\/woodlandsprimaryschool\/?p=628"},"modified":"2018-07-14T17:57:30","modified_gmt":"2018-07-14T17:57:30","slug":"primary-5-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/an\/woodlandsprimaryschool\/2018\/07\/14\/primary-5-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary 5 News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This term in Primary 5 we have had lots of learning opportunities.\u00a0 We attended a STEM workshop in Arbroath.\u00a0 STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.\u00a0 We worked in groups to create a 3D model of a shoe and invited parents and carers in to school for our Soft Shoe Shuffle Showcase.<\/p>\n<p>In maths we have been learning about bank accounts, credit\/debit cards, scams and different currencies.\u00a0 Miss Mullis&#8217;s dad came in to speak about his job and we found our more about the bank.\u00a0 We have used &#8216;Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs&#8217; as our stimulus for imaginative writing and worked on our drafting, editing and proof reading skills.<\/p>\n<p>We completed personal projects for homework and presented these to the class and use adobe spark to create videos for our new teacher telling her all she needs to know about us.\u00a0 We have had a very busy, enjoyable term, packed full of learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This term in Primary 5 we have had lots of learning opportunities.\u00a0 We attended a STEM workshop in Arbroath.\u00a0 STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.\u00a0 We worked in groups to create a 3D model of a shoe and invited parents and carers in to school for our Soft Shoe Shuffle Showcase.
