Welcome \u00a0to Southmuir Primary School.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are situated in the beautiful town of Kirriemuir at the base of the Angus glens. Kirriemuir is known as the Gateway to the Glens and attracts outdoor enthusiasts, keen to explore the nearby Munroes. At Southmuir, we too are enthusiastic about the outdoors and recognise the benefit of outdoor learning.\u00a0 We have our own nature garden, urban farm and enclosed woodland area which provide motivating learning environments and help us develop an awareness of our dependence on nature.<\/p>\n

We have a school roll of around 180 in P1-7 across 9 classes, including 2 supported ASN rooms and a further 30 children in Nursery.<\/p>\n

As a school we recognise how extremely important the partnership between the home and the school is in order for your child to receive the best from his\/her education and so mutual understanding and co-operation between them is greatly encouraged.<\/p>\n

At Southmuir Primary School we have always had excellent links with Websters High School and in 2017 the two schools were linked to become a campus school. This means that we have shared headship with Websters High School and our staff work closely to ensure that your child has a truly seamless\u00a0journey from age 2-18.<\/p>\n

The aim of Southmuir Primary School is to provide the very best education possible to all children. We feel it is important to establish an environment which is secure, trusting, happy and where learning experiences are made as enjoyable as possible.<\/p>\n

We look forward to working together with you to help your child fulfil their potential.<\/p>\n
