(This is particularly challenging if you are applying for a range of courses).<\/p>\n<p>You are limited to 4000 characters or 47 lines, including blank lines and spaces.<\/p>\n<p>UCAS uses \u2018Copycatch\u2019 software to detect plagiarism.\u00a0 This could result in your application being rejected entirely.\u00a0 Your statement must be your own work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Structure<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>The first 50% &#8211; 75% should be linked to the subject(s) you wish to study.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>INTRODUCTION:\u00a0 WHY THAT COURSE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reason for course choice \/ choice of university if relevant<\/li>\n<li>Background interest in the area\/ personal experiences that led to interest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>eg I had the opportunity to study aspects of Cognitive Psychology at Higher which I enjoyed because . . . .
