We aim to leave from McDonalds, Longtown Road at 01.15 on Wednesday 28 June.\u00a0 Staff will be in attendance from midnight so pupils can be dropped off any time before the departure time.\u00a0 Each member of staff will be responsible for a group of 9 young people.\u00a0 Pupils should assemble in these groups so we can check quickly that everyone is present.\u00a0 The groups are listed outside the Guidance Base and pupils should check beforehand which group they are in.\u00a0 (Please note, these groups are for attendance-checking only.\u00a0 Pupils are not expected to stay in these groups during the trip).<\/p>\n

The journey lasts around 6 hours but there will be stops on the way so we will arrive at Alton Towers around 09.00 on Wednesday morning.\u00a0 The park does not open until 10.00 so there will be time to have breakfast on the bus before entering.<\/p>\n

It could be cold on the bus overnight so it is advisable to take a travelling rug or something similar to keep warm.\u00a0 Please note that space is limited so please do not bring anything which will be too bulky.<\/p>\n

We realise that everyone will be excited but it is recommended to try to sleep during the journey in order to make the most of the day ahead.<\/p>\n

We will leave the park at around 15.30 with one stop for something to eat on the way home.\u00a0 Our arrival time is approximate but we will ask pupils to keep their families informed as we progress on our journey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
