Basketball Festival – March 2017

The Langland’s basketball team coaches are Mr Walling, Lewis Davidson and Paddy Allardice . Mr Walling commented “It felt brilliant when we won the  Tayside and Fife tournament”. The way you get to the final is by winning the Forfar tournament then you have to win the angus cluster tournament then you have to win the Tayside and fife final to be the winners.  The Forfar finals were on the 1st of March, the Angus finals on the 22nd of March and the Tayside and fife finals on the 12th of May. 🙂Image result for langlands basketball

Netball Festival – January 2017

Every Tuesday we had a netball practise and Miss Barrie helped us to play it after we eventually became really good at playing netball. Miss Barrie told us that we were going to play a match to against lots of schools in  angus.

When we reached the leisure centre we had to change into our netball clothes. Every school had a sign saying the school name. We got a chance to practise and then when all the schools were there we finally got to play matches against them. At least one person had to stay off every game we were playing, but a different person after each game sat out. When we played a few games we also had a lunch break. We all went outside of the hall and had our lunch there. Then when our lunch time ended we got a chance to play against Whitehills and we beat them 2-1, we were very happy about that. When we got back we had to tell Mrs Tough, She was very happy as well as we competed.

Athletics Festival – November 2016

Our athletics team from Langlands Primary School took part in a Fun in Athletics tournament down at the Forfar lesuire centre . We had been practising from September so that we could do reasonably well . We had pupils from P6 & P7 doing something for every event. We all did really well and tried our best.  There were 4 schools there altogether and out of everyone we came second! We were all really pleased. 🙂

Football Festival – November 2016

We walked to Station Park to play in an Angus Football Tournament.  We got split into 2 even teams by Mr Nicoll and Mr Paterson.  We played roughly 4 matches each against different schools (Whitehills, Northmuir, Strathmore, Southmuir).  We played well and came third or second overall.

June 2016
