Miss Ferrie and her recorder club have been working hard all year to learn and perfect some new tunes. They have entertained us at assemblies and services and impressed us with their ability.

P7 Blogging
In primary 7 children have been learning to use Blogs. They have created their own blogs and will be moving on to create some E-portfolios soon. They have also created their own wikis and are keen to create some to show off what they have learned about Japan.
Cross Country Running
On Wednesday 18th of March, Mrs Allardice and Mr Nicoll took a team of Primary 6 & 7s to Forfar Loch to take part in this year’s Cross Country competition. All of the children ran well with one of the girls finishing in 10th place out of 150 children and another girl finishing in 23rd place.
The Primary 7 girls came second overall as a team. Each of the girls was presented with a silver medal.
Red nose day
This year, the pupil council decided that they would like to have a wear something red theme for red nose day. They worked hard making badges, selling red noses and promoting the days activities.
On the day, they all dressed in something red and stood up in assembly to tell all of the other children about red nose day and why we have it. Finally, they collected and counted all the donations from the children around the school.
In total, we made £650. We are sure that you will agree that this was a great effort, not only by the children on the pupil council but also by everyone in the school. Well done!
