Primary 7 Science Visit

Three schools –Colliston, Ladyloan and Hayshead went to visit the Science Department at Arbroath High School.  We asked a few of the pupils about their visit:

“It was very interesting and educational” – Jacob

“We had to build a circuit to make a lightbulb light”—Ryan

“We now have a better understanding of the physics department”– Callum

The Ladyloan p7s thought as a whole that it was helpful to get a taster of life in S1.

The children were eager to learn and every school participated in becoming a unit and working together as an S1 class instead of as three primary 7 classes. The atmosphere at the high school was quite welcoming, even in the event of class-changing pupils hurrying down the hallways to their next lesson.

Fair Play Football Festival

Mr Bennett took along some of our Primary 5,6 and 7 boys to take part in the Fair Play event in Montrose.  We played 3 matches against other schools and they all had a great time and played well.  The Fair Play Award went to Kyle Fraser in P6 for showing outstanding sportsmanship!   What a credit to Ladyloan!
