We are well and truly into the Summer term and what wonderful weather we have had since we returned. It has been lovely to see many classes outside making the most of it \u2026 let\u2019s hope it lasts!\ud83e\udd1eIt is a reasonably short but busy term with lots going on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Staff News<\/strong><\/p>\n

After 21 years at Grange, Mrs Robertson (P1) has decided to retire She will leave us at the end of this term. She has been a valued and loyal member of “Team Grange” with her quiet, nurturing approach. She will be greatly missed by us all but I am sure she will not be stranger when she is out on her many dog walks.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Miss Gee (support assistant in the purple room) who was married last Saturday in Carnoustie and is now Mrs Gee-Wilson. Many congratulations to the happy couple\ud83c\udf89<\/div>\n

Angie Bartlett returns to our nursery following the maternity of her twins. She is working part time until the summer and plans to return full time in August.<\/div>\n

It was lovely to see Mrs Forydyce return last week. Mrs Fordyce is on will be on a phased return and Mrs Houston will continue to job share in P5 with Mrs Fordyce until this point.<\/div>\n

Louise Anderson joins us on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday from next week and will work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week. She will be teaching across the school on these days.<\/div>\n

Pamela Wallace joined us last week as a support assistant and is working in our coloured rooms and mainstream classes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mrs Lekamge (support assistant in the purple room) leaves us this Friday. Although she will leave us on Friday, we are hoping to have her back, a week later, for a week of supply before starting her new job. Mrs Lekamge… thank you for all the care you have shown towards our Purple Room gang and we wish you every success with your new role! \ud83c\udf1f<\/div>\n

Miss Macleod, in the nursery, has secured a job at Ninewells that she hopes will give her experience before she applies to do nursing, Thank you for being part of Granger’s Gang and although not leaving us for another week or so we wish you all the very best! \ud83c\udf1f<\/div>\n

Summer Term Events<\/strong><\/p>\n

SPORTS DAY<\/strong>: We are currently finalising our plans for Sports Day. However timings for the day are as follows:<\/p>\n

Nursery & P1 – 9.15-10.15 approx.<\/p>\n

P2-4 – 10.35-12.10noon approx.<\/p>\n

P5-7 – 1.35-3pm approx,<\/p>\n

The Parent Engagement Group are once again going to be selling strawberries. Pre orders are being taken and will have a deadline of next Friday 8th of May.<\/p>\n

COLOUR RUN<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are wishing to have a Colour Run on Friday 26th June at 3pm. In order for this to go ahead, we require a good number of parent volunteers that will to throw powder, man the registration desks and generally have eyes on incase of any accidents.<\/p>\n

If you are able to help please complete the form by next Friday so we can get the powder ordered.<\/p>\n

With the warmer weather upon us many of you may be considering buying some new school uniform.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following consultation where there was a 50\/50 split, uniform will remain as it is for next session, where children have the option and flexibility to wear traditional or the relaxed version.<\/p>\n

Below is a reminder of expectations on school uniform at Grange.\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who has continued to support this guidance; we feel it helps our pupils feel a sense of belonging and take a pride in their school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grange Primary School Uniform\u00a0<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

Traditional Uniform:<\/b><\/p>\n

Grey skirt or trousers, white shirt\/polo shirt, gold tie, grey cardigan or jumper, black shoes.<\/p>\n

OR<\/p>\n

PE Uniform:<\/b><\/p>\n

Grey Grange Hoodie or plain grey hoodie, plain white T-shirt, black joggers, leggings or shorts. Black trainers.<\/p>\n

P7 pupils have the option to wear the Black Grange Leavers hoodie instead of a grey hoodie.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
