Wow, who would have believed we have had our half term holiday already and that we are in the second part of the term! Hope you all had lovely time over the long weekend whatever you were up to!<\/p>\n

Staff News<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs Cheape (P1) will be starting her maternity leave next month and we wish her all the very best and look forward to seeing her and her newborn in Grange soon.<\/p>\n

Survey Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thank you very much to those parents who completed the\u00a0 survey last week. The feedback has been really helpful.<\/p>\n

Family Quiz Night<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Parent Engagement Group are organising a Family Quiz Night in the school hall just before the Easter break. To book your team place, please complete the form using this link and please send \u00a310 in an envelope with your team name on it.<\/p>\n

UPCOMING EVENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

World Book Day \u2013 Thursday 5th March<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year we will celebrate World Book Day by having a book swap where children can bring in ONE<\/strong> book they no longer use and swapping with another they would like to read. We will also be having some DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time when the bell sounds throughout the day. Listen out as this may happen in the afternoon too! We wish to be equitable and therefore there is the option to wear pyjamas to school on this day. Some children have requested to link in with their historical theme and wear school uniform from years gone by.\u00a0 There is no expectation for anything new to be purchased for this day! If your child does not wish to do either then normal school uniform should be worn.<\/p>\n

Sharing Our Learning @ the Grange Museum <\/strong>\u2013 5th March 2-3pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on this afternoon to look around the classrooms and the walls in the corridor as the children show your their learning of our \u201cGrange Museum\u201d . The main learning focus of this has been social studies – historical theme.<\/p>\n

The Scholastic Book Fair is being delivered to school next week and children will have the opportunity to visit this during class time to make a wish list. Details for purchasing items will be shared soon. You will also be able visit the book fair on this day. The school get a percentage of the sales to purchase books for the school.<\/p>\n

We will also be running a cafe in the hall on this afternoon. Thank you!<\/p>\n

Comic Relief & World Downs Syndrome Day \u2013 Friday 20th March<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year we will help raise funds and invite children and staff to wear a touch or as much red as they like! The theme is \u201cTake Yourself Funny for Money\u201d and so we have a plan in the making about how Grange can take on the TaskMaster. Watch this space!<\/p>\n

We will also celebrate World Downs Syndrome Day, The theme this year is “Reach for the Stars” very apt for Grange!! Children are invited to \u201cRock their Socks\u201d\u00a0 in addition to their touch of red if they so wish.<\/p>\n
