Dear Parents \/ Carers,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are now more than half-way through the term and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible this coming Wednesday <\/span>5-6.30pm at our Sharing Our Learning\u00a0<\/strong>event.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As with previous years, we will be collecting for the Dundee & Angus Foodbank and the Angus Toy Appeal throughout the evening and any donations can be dropped off in the gym hall and will greatly appreciated!<\/span><\/p>\n

I am also delighted to share our Christmas celebration plans:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CINEMA TRIP \u2013 15<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>\u00a0December<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The cinema is a dress down day with a festive touch so bright colours, Christmas jumpers are all welcomed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Children may bring a\u00a0<\/span>small<\/span><\/b>\u00a0snack and a drink\u00a0<\/span>(no fizzy or energy drinks including PRIME and Lucozade sport please)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0with them to enjoy during the movie.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Children will return to school for lunch and spend the afternoon in class as normal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where possible,\u00a0please could\u00a0P5-7 please bring a packed lunch on this day to help the kitchen staff in the event we are late. Much appreciated!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CHRISTMAS LUNCH \u2013 18<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>\u00a0December<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Christmas lunch will take place on Thursday 18<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0December. Please remember to order in advance, where possible, using\u00a0Parentpay. Thank you!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CHRISTMAS\u00a0CHEER\u00a0THROUGH THE DECADES\u00a0\u2013 19<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>\u00a0December<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Christmas Cheer is an opportunity for each year group to perform on stage to an audience. As it is our 50<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0year what a better way to celebrate than singing songs from the decades.\u00a0We warmly invite parents and family members to come along\u00a0on the morning of Friday 19<\/span>th<\/span> December, 5-10 minutes, before the allocated time slot of your child\u2019s performance e.g. P1 and watch them perform. Here is the running order of the day:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Please enter and exit the school through the main school entrance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Class teachers will advise of any accessories\u00a0(at no cost) that\u00a0may\u00a0be worn for the performance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SPECIAL VISITOR\u00a0\u2013 23<\/span><\/b>rd<\/span><\/b>\u00a0December<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is hoped a\u00a0special visitor will\u00a0visit the\u00a0children in Nursery, P1 and our coloured rooms on the\u00a0afternoon of the\u00a0last day of term.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

GYM SHOES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just a gentle reminder that as the weather has taken a turn we would ask that every child brings a coat with them to school to wear outside at breaks and that a pair of gym plimsoles or indoor trainers are brought in to use for PE and to prevent our school floors being damaged.<\/p>\n

MOBILE DEVICES<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are aware that more and more children are bringing phones to school and wearing smart watches.\u00a0 If a child brings a mobile to school, it is expected that the device is switched off at the school gates and is handed in to the class teacher for safe keeping and will be handed out again at the end school day.<\/p>\n

It would be helpful if any child who wears a smart watch, knows how to switch it onto school mode when in school, to avoid disruption to learning for everyone. Your help with this would be appreciated!<\/p>\n
