Summer term is upon us and what wonderful weather we have had since we returned. It has been lovely to see many classes outside making the most of it … let’s hope it lasts!\ud83e\udd1eIt is a short and busy term with lots going on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Staff News<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs Oldham has decided to take early retirement, with her last day being at the end of this term. Grandparent duties are a calling along with her many other hobbies. We will be extremely sad to see her go however we are excited to see what her future brings!<\/p>\n

We are delighted that Miss Lorimer who covered P6 for us last term is staying with us for the remainder of the term and will be covering RCT in both P2 classes.<\/p>\n

Last week you all received a Groupcall regarding our plans for Sports Day. The Parent Engagement Group are looking for some helpers to help serve refreshments and sell strawberries. Hedgehog Awareness<\/strong><\/div>\n

As I am sure you are aware the Outdoor Learning Mad Group have been focusing on hedgehog habitat preservation. As a school we are aiming to become Hedgehog Champions through the British Hedgehog Preservation Society. We found out that hedgehog numbers are declining so we want to do all we can to help! Right now, we are working towards our award for helping hedgehogs. All the classes in the school have been taking part in activities to help us achieve this such as researching how to help hedgehogs, building hedgehog houses, creating hedgehog feeding stations, litter picking and building hedgehog tunnels to check for footprints to find out in we have any here at Grange Primary.<\/div>\n

We know that we have hedgehogs as we rescued one in our school grounds at the beginning of the year. What we are going to do next is set up a night camera near our hedgehog houses to try and get some footage of them, we are also going to build a bug hotel and create more hedgehog houses from log piles.<\/div>\n

With the warmer weather upon us many of you may be considering buying some new school uniform. <\/span><\/p>\n

Below is a reminder of expectations on school uniform at Grange.\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who has continued to support this guidance; we feel it helps our pupils feel a sense of belonging and take a pride in their school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grange Primary School Uniform\u00a0<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

Traditional Uniform:<\/b><\/p>\n

Grey skirt or trousers, white shirt\/polo shirt, gold tie, grey cardigan or jumper, black shoes.<\/p>\n

OR<\/p>\n

PE Uniform:<\/b><\/p>\n

Grey Grange Hoodie or plain grey hoodie, white T-shirt, black joggers, leggings or shorts. Black trainers.<\/p>\n

P7 pupils have the option to wear a Grange Leavers hoodie instead of a grey hoodie.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
