S3 Life Science is a new course on offer from the Science Faculty.\u00a0 It is an integrated Science course covering the three main sciences; Biology, Chemistry and Physics. \u00a0 Learners will continue to develop their science skills through practical activities and learning within a context relevant to real life such as health, technology and the environment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
This is a practical and experiential course, developing scientific awareness and issues relating to Science.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The aims of the course are to<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-develop and apply knowledge of Science<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-develop an understanding of science\u2019s role in scientific issues and relevant applications of science in society and the environment\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-develop scientific inquiry and investigative skills\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-develop scientific analytical thinking skills in a science context\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-develop the use of technology, equipment and materials safely in practical scientific activities\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-develop problem solving skills in a science context\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
-use and understand scientific literacy in everyday contexts to communicate ideas and issues\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
