It is essential that pupils arrive at school on time to ensure that classes are not disrupted.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Attendance<\/h3>\r\n


Regular attendance at school is vitally important to your child\u2019s future. Absence from school can cause pupils to fall behind with their learning, do less well in exams and set bad habits for life and work.
If your child(ren) are absent you should e-mail the school brechinhighschool@angusschools.org.uk<\/strong> or telephone 01356 237100<\/strong>. Please keep us informed of how long your child(ren) will be absent and the reason for absence.
When parents\/carers know in advance that their child is to be absent, they are asked to inform the school as soon as possible. At times we use a computerised messaging system called Groupcall to text parents of identified pupils if they are not in school. The system is also used to send out emergency information and reminders about school events.
In cases of unsatisfactory attendance our Home School Liaison Officer will visit the home and discuss the situation with parents\/carers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
