1918 to 1945.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Russia; from Tsarism to Stalinism, 1900 to 1945.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There is also an assignment, which is in the form of a 4,000 word dissertation and candidates can choose a topic of interest related to the course research and then produce an essay style write up for dissertation.\u00a0 This is excellent preparation for the relevant skills required for university courses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Internal:\u00a0<\/strong>Weekly tests based on the exam questions (results will generate a working grade for tracking purposes)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>External:<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>SQA Examination: 90 marks<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Exam Paper &#8211; two essays (25 marks each) and three source-based questions (40 marks in total).\u00a0 The total for exam paper is 90 marks.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Assignment: Is a 4,000 word dissertation and is assessed externally by the SQA).\u00a0 It is worth 50 marks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Progression Pathway:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>University &#8211;
