{"id":842,"date":"2016-01-25T16:45:58","date_gmt":"2016-01-25T16:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/an\/anguschildrenandlearning\/?p=842"},"modified":"2016-01-25T16:45:58","modified_gmt":"2016-01-25T16:45:58","slug":"angus-athletics-arena-logo-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/an\/anguschildrenandlearning\/2016\/01\/25\/angus-athletics-arena-logo-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Angus Athletics Arena Logo Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><em>posted by Andy Garnett, Active Schools Lead Coordinator<\/em><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dear Colleagues<\/p>\n<p>Fundraising has begun with a vision for a new all-weather athletics track facility in Angus, to be called \u2018Angus Athletics Arena\u2019 (AAA).\u00a0 The organising group with representatives from local clubs and other community groups, are keen to involve local schools in the project and have created a logo competition which is open to school pupils.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for AAA commented \u201c <strong><em>the logo\u00a0will be the\u00a0face of our campaign. We would like school children to design a logo on an individual basis and submit their entry to their school. We suggest they make a donation with their entry (suggested donation 50p) although this is optional. All money raised from the entries will go directly towards an arena. We are looking for something bright and eye-catching that will draw attention. All entries will then be passed onto the steering group where a logo will be chosen by members of the steering group. The logo will then be displayed throughout the campaign and will be displayed throughout Angus, including the local press.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The deadline for entries is 26<sup>th<\/sup> Feb. All Arbroath schools are invited to take part and a 50p per pupil donation is suggested to submit along with their design. All designs should be A4 size, you can choose whether the image is colour or black and white.
