It&#8217;s an assessment tool that helps them to spot anything that&#8217;s putting that child at risk of harm.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important we find children who are at risk of harm as early as possible so we can get them the right help.<\/p>\n<p>GCP2 shows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>strengths<\/li>\n<li>weaknesses<\/li>\n<li>what needs to be changed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By working out what parents can do better, it&#8217;s easier for the person working with a family to get them the right support to improve the life of their child.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This training will equip staff to use the GCP2 tool in their day-to-day practice and is relevant for all staff, particularly named persons\/lead professionals, working directly with families\/children\/young people where neglect is an issue.
