The \u201chave you had your five-a-day?\u201d campaign is an example of successful health promotion \u2013 where people are informed to make the easy choices about their health. But what role can health promotion play in Scotland\u2019s prison system, and how is a dentist involved in helping people in custody improve their health?<\/p>\n<p>In this talk, Prof Ruth Freeman, from the University of Dundee, discusses working together with the Scottish Prison Service to support and rehabilitate people in Scotland\u2019s prisons, starting with their teeth.<\/p>\n<p>Join us at Caf\u00e9 Science Dundee at Avery &amp; Co. at 34 South Tay Street on Monday 21<sup>st<\/sup> January 2019, at 7pm. The sights, sounds, and styles of classic games such as Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros. or Doom have impacted on everything from graphic design and fashion to music and film. But perhaps fewer of us have considered the extent to which videogames engage more widely with collective and cultural memory.<\/p>\n<p>In this talk, Dr Robin Sloan from Abertay University will discuss \u201cnostalgia games\u201d \u2013 videogames that generate great appeal through their referencing of past games, films, music, technology,\u00a0and shared memories of days gone by.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone is welcome.
