The courses are delivered by members of the NHS Tayside, Paediatric Overweight Service Tayside team and are available across Tayside in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Level 1<br \/>\n<\/strong>\uf0b7 what is obesity and how do we recognise it in childhood<br \/>\n\uf0b7 simple positive family lifestyle advice<br \/>\n\uf0b7 role of P.O.S.T. and referral pathways<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday 17th April: 1.30pm \u2013 4.30pm &#8211; Arbroath Infirmary &#8211; Board Room<br \/>\nFriday 20th April: 9.30am-12.30pm \u00a0&#8211; PRI, Perth, Fothergill Room (in maternity building)<br \/>\nTuesday 1st May: 1.30pm-4.30pm \u00a0&#8211; King\u2019s Cross, Dundee &#8211; Board Room<\/p>\n<p><strong>Level 2 <\/strong><strong>(previously level 3)<br \/>\n<\/strong>\uf0b7 basic behavioural change tools utilised in childhood obesity<br \/>\n\uf0b7 how to deliver a short healthy weight intervention with children and young people<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday 15th May: 1.30pm-4.30pm &#8211; Arbroath Infirmary &#8211; Board Room<br \/>\nFriday 8th June: 1.30pm-4.30pm \u00a0&#8211; King\u2019s Cross, Dundee &#8211; Board Room<br \/>\nWednesday 13th June: 9.30am-12.30pm &#8211; PRI, Perth &#8211; Board Room<\/p>\n<p>Level 1 is a stand alone course and does not require any previous knowledge of the subject. However please note that for those wishing to undertake level 2 we consider it essential that the courses are undertaken in order &#8211; 1 through to 2.<\/p>\n<p>We now also recommend that in your own time you undertake the web based \u2018raising the issue\u2019 training from NHS Health Scotland. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthscotland.com\/\">www.healthscotland.com<\/a>. and would highly recommend that this is undertaken before taking POST level 2 training.<\/p>\n<p>Places are limited on all courses &#8211; to apply for a place please contact Andy Garnett, Active Schools\u00a0 at <a href=\"mailto:GarnettA@angus.gov.uk\">GarnettA@angus.gov.uk<\/a>.
