{"id":2533,"date":"2017-03-21T14:25:38","date_gmt":"2017-03-21T14:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/an\/anguschildrenandlearning\/?p=2533"},"modified":"2017-03-21T14:25:38","modified_gmt":"2017-03-21T14:25:38","slug":"fair-trade-fiesta-parade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/an\/anguschildrenandlearning\/2017\/03\/21\/fair-trade-fiesta-parade\/","title":{"rendered":"Fair Trade Fiesta Parade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">posted by Alita Spink, Schools and Learning Support Officer, Schools and Learning<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Call for participants for Fair Trade Fiesta Parade on 13 May 2017: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We invite your school, college, faith group, youth &amp; community groups etc.<\/strong> to take part to take part in the Fair Trade Fiesta Parade on 13 May to <strong>celebrate Scotland as a Fair Trade Nation on World Fair Trade Day<\/strong>.\u00a0 You can come up with your own ideas.\u00a0 The last Fiesta saw walking Fair Trade Bananas; vibrant fruits; amazing costumes made of paper and fabric; music and more.\u00a0 Watch the video <a href=\"https:\/\/ethical.tv\/2014\/05\/10\/fair-trade-fiesta-edinburgh-2\/\"><em>here<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding<\/strong> is available by applying to the Scottish Fair Trade Forum\u2019s Community Grant scheme for support towards costumes and travel to the event.\u00a0 Grants are a maximum of \u00a3250 and can take up to 4 weeks to process.\u00a0 More information on how to apply can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottishfairtradeforum.org.uk\/take-action\/grants\/community-grant-scheme.html#.WNABOxOslG8\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fair <\/strong><strong>Trade <\/strong><strong>Fiesta<\/strong> is a celebration carnival parade and concert celebrating and highlighting Scotland as a Fair Trade Nation on <strong>World Fair Trade Day<\/strong> involving people of all ages and backgrounds.
