Get your pupils arriving at school ready to learn;<\/span><\/p>\n

The charity <\/span>Sustrans<\/span><\/a> is running a schools scooting and cycling challenge <\/span>The Big Pedal<\/span><\/a> over 10 days <\/span>(20-31<\/span>st<\/span><\/sup><\/span> of March 2017).\u00a0 <\/span><\/b><\/span>This is the biggest two-wheels challenge in the UK and all schools both primary and secondary\u2019s are invited to take part.\u00a0 <\/span>Over 100 schools in Scotland have <\/span>signed up<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim is to get the largest proportion of pupils, parents and staff to scoot and cycle into school over the two week period. <\/span><\/p>\n

Schools can choose to enter a 1 or 5 day challenge where your best day or best 5 days out of the two weeks count.<\/span><\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s challenge is Round-the-World in 10 Days. \"\"<\/a><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a wall chart and facts cards for participating schools to plot their journeys and learn about the countries they pass through. <\/span>As well as other <\/span>resources<\/span><\/a> on the website; including power point for assemblies, letters for parents etc.<\/span><\/p>\n
