On Thursday 9 March 2017, schools around the world will celebrate\u00a0<\/span><\/span>International School Meals Day<\/span><\/a>. T<\/span><\/span><\/strong>his\u00a0year’s\u00a0theme is\u00a0Food, Culture and Heritage<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Get involved – <\/span><\/strong>Children and young people (supported by their teachers or other adults) \u00a0are being encouraged\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>share \u2018stories\u2019 about their culture, heritage and associated food<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/b>This could be\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span>family food traditions, food that is loved (or not!) in their country or festivals, ceremonies and celebrations that take place.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Photographs, blogs, videos or vines, songs, poems, stories and recipes\u00a0are all welcome and can be shared\u00a0in a\u00a0<\/span>number of ways.<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0 <\/span>Start sending your ideas, stories and other pieces NOW!\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

International School Meals Day (ISMD) is a unique campaign with the aim of raising awareness of good nutrition for all children regardless of their circumstances, and is managed by Children in Scotland.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
