\nImportant changes are taking place to Education Scotland\u2019s websites. Find out more>><\/strong><\/p>\n

Preparations are underway for a major update to the Education Scotland websites to ensure we continue to meet the needs of practitioners as Scotland’s education system evolves.<\/p>\n

By November, four sites will be available, which will be search-driven to help users quickly access the information they seek.<\/p>\n

Corporate website – with information about Education Scotland, policy and legislation, news, Scotland’s education system and our role in it.<\/p>\n

The National Improvement Hub – the dedicated source of education improvement materials and resources for education practitioners.<\/p>\n

Parentzone Scotland – the dedicated information site developed for, and with, parents.<\/p>\n

National Qualifications site – providing practitioners with support materials for qualifications.<\/p>\n

In preparation, we have been reviewing the content on our current sites.\u00a0 Education improvement materials and resources that remain relevant are being moved to the National Improvement Hub\u00a0 some topic-specific content is being moved to partner organisations and will appear on their websites.\u00a0 Other content is being archived for future consideration, and may be deleted or re-worked and used again.\u00a0 Where content has already been moved, site visitors will find a relevant link or message.<\/p>\n

The websites with sciences and learning for sustainability content will be affected as follows:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

STEM Central<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 core content is being migrated to the National Improvement Hub. The site in its current format will no longer be available beyond the end of October 2016.
\n<\/span>Weather and Climate Change<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 core content is being migrated to the National Improvement Hub. The site in its current format will no longer be available beyond end of October 2016.
\n<\/span>Exploring Climate Change<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 core content is being migrated to the National Improvement Hub. The site in its current format will no longer be available beyond end of October 2016.
\n<\/span>NQ Higher Sciences<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 content is being migrated to the new National Qualifications site. The site in its current format will no longer be available beyond end of October 2016.
\n<\/span>Giant Pandas<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 the site in its current format will no longer be available beyond end of October 2016. In time, some of the content will appear on the <\/span>Beyond the Panda<\/span><\/a> website developed by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
\n<\/span>Schools Global Footprint<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 <\/span>this website is being deleted<\/span><\/b> and will no longer be available beyond the end of October 2016.
\n<\/span><\/span>Ready for Emergencies<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 the site in its current format will no longer be available beyond the end of October 2016. The content is currently being migrated to Scottish Government\u2019s <\/span>Ready Scotland<\/span><\/a> website.
\n<\/span>NQ Course Material Glow site<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 materials that have been developed for NQ Sciences by Education Scotland will appear on the new National Qualifications site. Most of the other material developed and shared by local authorities will not be available beyond the end of October 2016.
\n<\/span>Sciences<\/span><\/b><\/a> and <\/span><\/b>Learning for Sustainability<\/span><\/b><\/a> pages on Education Scotland\u2019s Corporate site<\/span><\/b> \u2013 core content will remain but there will be a significant reduction in content in the resources and sharing practice sections. <\/span>Some <\/span><\/b>content will be migrated to the National Improvement Hub.
\n<\/span><\/span>National Assessment Resource<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013<\/span> sciences content will no longer be available beyond the end of October 2016.
\n<\/span><\/b><\/span>
\nDue to the volume of content being migrated there may be a period of time at the end of October where some of content which is being retained or migrated may not be available on the National Improvement Hub or partner websites. We will be endeavouring over the coming weeks to minimise any loss in continuity of access to this material.<\/span><\/p>\n
