For the first time creativity is embedded in HGIOS 4 quality indicators. We hope that this initiative is an easy way to progress <strong>creative learning in your school community<\/strong> with maximum impact, at the same time creating a <strong>positive and inclusive experience for pupils<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Invitation to All Schools:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We invite all schools in Scotland to be a part of our\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?f=001Y1jsl4IOhB_69vvY1lMVuSi3H-So7iV3J-NKDA2TQ_-P7bjauygTnkGdBo3Ch8AkjkVNAZZI79C67wpgbsjYyB4wRTXbX5uRxjNV8ZQ-TXJpl2xoNJrm-kSmXT0oRU6jVBIG7_ZagWhY7kTMecOhbsjN05LtXXYZS8P20ipK0do=&amp;c=Xy_viVv0WrSt0orPrUNQrOHvHAvu9TZnzer-owe4Fh3HozXA_kICGw==&amp;ch=9BylprKMdBjXiNTFNUzbfJMLrhM8Aspr30Gi6fz7rwqMdpHTzTVDFw==\"><strong>Dare to Dream<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>campaign 2016.<\/strong>\u00a0The campaign\u00a0is an outreach initiative from this year&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?f=001Y1jsl4IOhB_69vvY1lMVuSi3H-So7iV3J-NKDA2TQ_-P7bjauygTntTQAWK_wOmzEkyDixtlppTet0I-4U8Jn2fxVZjRb5jW47l7_V3EYAG8tsT9JFLo_GakmscmImJEx2D16s1xYWN_aRtk6_CYSD8Df3S4VEoLbI1MvqEQIY2naO52vyMlDG5DMeQVvxlQFuVPg9rQEYsZRmF-GlxiDsjAdw8jGbnzwpaH-zU4AmRWp0IJdUpJ_KM4Y-jeFeqE&amp;c=Xy_viVv0WrSt0orPrUNQrOHvHAvu9TZnzer-owe4Fh3HozXA_kICGw==&amp;ch=9BylprKMdBjXiNTFNUzbfJMLrhM8Aspr30Gi6fz7rwqMdpHTzTVDFw==\"><strong>Scottish International Storytelling Festival<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and will run <strong>from September to November.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Discover the stories of the past and dream the stories of the future. What are the stories of your local place? What stories would you tell to the world today, from the future of your dreams? Everything created must first be imagined: explore the possible and Dare to Dream!&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By taking part, <strong>your school will be contributing to a Scotland-wide initiative<\/strong> inviting and creating space for <strong>children to imagine their personal and collective futures<\/strong>, which in turn will <strong>build confidence<\/strong> to begin to make these aspirations and ambitions a reality.<\/p>\n<p>The principles of\u00a0<strong>creative learning<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>active learning\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>inclusion<\/strong>\u00a0are embedded in this project.\u00a0Through dreaming, the liberating power of the imagination is open to everyone &#8211; <strong>neither language nor disability are barriers to participation<\/strong>.\u00a0The campaign is <strong>relevant to the entire school and to every subject area<\/strong>. Activities will also help meet outcomes in both\u00a0<strong>Literacy\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Health and Wellbeing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In an ever-changing world, we believe that it is vital that children are educated about their role and the value they have in shaping a vibrant and sustainable future. By <strong>setting learning in the context of your local school<\/strong> and focusing on <strong>issues relevant to your pupils<\/strong>,\u00a0our #DareToDream campaign provides a great opportunity for you to encourage children to think about their<strong> right to participate<\/strong>,\u00a0empowering and enabling them to become <strong>active citizens<\/strong>, both locally and globally.\u00a0We provide the <strong>context for learning<\/strong> and suggest tasks and activities,\u00a0but there is no limit on where this engaging topic could be taken in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Take Part:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have made it <strong>as simple as possible for teachers to take part<\/strong>, with the <strong>options for engaging in more depth<\/strong> should the individual teacher so wish. During this period\u00a0we will make visible all contributions via our online platform. This is an <strong>opportunity to showcase your own school&#8217;s contribution<\/strong> with the wider community should you so wish in the form of a <strong>blog, video, photographs<\/strong> or otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>As part of our social media campaign, we will have a special <strong>#DareToDream Day <\/strong>on<strong> Thursday 28th October.\u00a0<\/strong>On this day, we will encourage every creative citizen in Scotland to share a dream for the future on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the campaign hashtag.
