Even spelling can be yummy!!
Here is another great idea. This Superstar made a game to learn her spelling words. In the lovely pink container there are all her spelling words and some flowers. To play the game you have to pick out a word. If you can read it, you can keep it. If you pick a flower, you miss a turn. The winner is the one with the most words at the end of the game!

Sight Words
Sight words make up half of our weekly spelling list They are the words we use most often in our reading and writing. They are quite often tricky to learn. We are taking lots of opportunities to use and practise them in class.
One of our weekly activities is to make a weekly sight word pattern book. This week we were concentrating on the words “the” and “is.”
We have mixed up sentences to cut them apart and re-arrange so that they make sense. We have to look for clues such as the capital letter and full stop to find the beginning and end of the sentence.
