Sports Day 2015

What a great day to celebrate Sports Day –  the sun shone brightly and so did our pupils! The pupils looked great in their house colours and had a great morning of exercise and fun. Going by the tired, but happy,  faces at lunch they definitely gave it their all. Well done (especially to Mrs Gray and Miss Carle for all their hard work organising the event!).  The Walker Road team definitely showed that being good at sport is important, but above all being a good sport is also important!

Please click on the temporary page “Sports Day” on the home page to go to a selection of some photos. We will add more once we get them over the next week or so.

We will also be looking for feedback over the next few weeks. Please feel free to leave a comment to this post to let us know if it was a success or not. Thank you!

Walker Road has talent!

Dancing Show!

Thank you to all who came to our Dance Show yesterday. It was brilliant and we were so proud of all our pupils. The children loved being able to share their dances with you. If you have any photos then please let Miss Graham know so we can share some of them on here.

And finally…thank you to Mrs Sadler and Mrs Brown for giving up their time and sharing their talents in both Zumba and Highland Dancing. Great work ladies!

New Road Safety Project!

try park & stride

As a school community we are looking at the safety around our school in relation to cars. The Parent Council along with some pupils from the school will be launching this project very soon. The aim of this is to reduce the number of cars around our school, and especially in the school car park,  which is becoming too busy with all the cars at the start and end of the school day. Please park and stride and help keep your child safe! Be a Walker Road Walker!
