All around the world!
All around the world!
We have been learning about different countries and continents at nursery. Learning about different cultures, traditions and landmarks.
First of all we looked at Scotland and our local area before venturing off around the world!
We looked at China next!
We enjoyed tasting some Chinese food, learnt some mandarin and explored the great wall of china.
We then explored France!
We learnt lots about the Eiffel tower and enjoyed doing some painting and craft.
Next off to Africa!
We are currently learning about Africa, we are interested in the animals and weather at the moment!
Scotland!
We have been celebrating Scotland!
One of our friends kindly brought in an atlas to show us at show and tell, we looked at his favorite page which was a map of Scotland! Some of us were able to point out Aberdeen! We have been learning about Robbie Burns, traditional Scottish music, dance and tasting some Scottish food!
“That’s my flag, it’s a Scottish flag for burns night”

“It’s spicy, I like it”
Robbie Burns:
“He writes notes”
“On his birthday we eat Haggis”

“I like shortbread!”
“You sing Scottish words”
Our first Nativity
Today we took part in our very first Nativity!
Today we took part in the school nativity with the primary 1’s, 2’s and 3’s. We have been working very hard, learning and practising all of our songs and actions the last few weeks in preparation for the big day! We have been very excited to show our Mummies, Daddies, Grannies, Grandads, Aunties, Uncles and other important people our performance.
We hope you enjoyed the show, and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love from your perfect little angels!
A snapshot of our first week!
Numeracy:
We have explored the sand tray and helped peppa pig find some missing numbers. We had to match the numbers we found to the ones on the card. It was lots of fun working together learning numbers, communicating amongst ourselves and problem solving.
Health and well-being:
This week at nursery we have been exploring the outdoor spaces such as the nature garden and big playground. We have had lots of fun developing our motor skills, climbing, balancing, jumping and running.
We have enjoyed doing our mile a day walk around the school , learning how to look after our bodies.
