Next month, we will share everything we have done with all of the classes at an assembly. Our next job is to work out how we are going to look after the new equipment. All pupil council members will ask their classes for ideas on how to do this.

We have attached a picture of our order to this minutes.

School aims

Mrs Douglas asked the Pupil council where in the school we might display the school aims. All teachers have the aims in their classrooms. The Pupil Council think it would be helpful to have the aims displayed in these places: Hall, Front Entrance, the 3 Pupil Entrances, the Library, Room 4, Rainbow room, Corridors and Support for Learning room. These ideas will be passed on to Mrs Douglas.

In school/out of school activities

There have been more opportunities for pupils to take part in activities at school. There are a number of lunchtime clubs getting started and pupils can choose which one they would like to go to. A new multi-sports club has started on a Thursday for P1-P3 in school. Active Schools have organised some activities for our pupils in the local community and they were posted on our class dojo.

£500 competition money – from the Evening Express

The Pupil Council have begun to make a list of the most popular ideas on how to spend the £500. Once the list has been completed we will find out how much things cost and make a top 5 list for all pupils to vote on. Then we will go to Mrs Douglas with the results.

Shoe Box Appeal

Many thanks to all of you that contributed to this year’s Shoebox Appeal. We had great fun filling the boxes and thinking very hard about what we might put in them for a child or a family.  We managed to fill 30 boxes which are on their way to some needy children and families in Eastern Europe.
