Primary5 Blog

The children in P5 are looking forward to another busy term….

On a Monday and Thursday the children will be having PE.

They will get the chance to learn different Scottish Dances including Dashing White Sergeant and Military Two Step.

They will also be having PE Master classes inc. Rugby and Golf, run by visiting PE specialists, so it’s really important for your child to have GYM SHOES and FULL KIT please.

This term our topic is ‘Food Around the World’.  We’ll be looking at ‘Food Journeys’ and learning about different foods that are eaten in other parts of the world.

Next time you’re at the SUPERMARKET why not spend time looking at all the EXOTIC and UNUSUAL fruit/vegetables that are on display!!

Throughout our topic the children will have the opportunity to build on their Geographical knowledge and skills as they become more familiar with maps/world regions.

A Few Reminders:

  • Blue Folders, containing purple jotter, diary (please REMEMBER to sign and ‘Traffic Light’ diaries), reading book to be brought to school every day
  • Reading* & Spelling homework ~ Mon-Thur.
