We created some lovely roses in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
We also drew some lovely heart artwork!
We had fun outside walking round the school grounds to observe and record the different types of houses around the school. We saw flats, a bungalow, terraced houses and semi-detached houses.

As part of our topic we have been learning about houses and the different types of houses people live in. We have been busy this week painting houses, buiding Lego houses and using junk to make a model of a house.
This term we are lucky to have the opportunity to learn some Mandarin! So far we have learnt how to say hello. We have also been learning some interesting facts about China. The Mandarin teacher Isabella showed us how to correctly hold and use chopsticks. We had to practise using them and try to pick up cotton wool!

P2/3 had a fantastic day. This morning we watched a performance of Aladdin and really enjoyed it! Then in the afternoon it was party time! At the party we danced, played pass the parcel, musical chairs, musical statues and had a lovely snack.
Here’s some photos from the party.
Merry Christmas!
P2/3 got their Read, Write, Count bags home today. There are some lovely books and games in them. There is also a notebook to write some stories in which can be brought in to share with the class.
Here’s some photos of P2/3 exploring their bags.
P2/3 have been busy making some lovely Christmas cards and calendars. To make the cards we used our handprints. The children will be taking the cards home soon to share with you. We hope you like them!
